Making Appointments – Online or Phone Us
Regular clinic hours are:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 8.00am–5.00pm
Thursday: 8.00am-6pm
Saturdays: 9.00–12.00pm (Phone the practice at 9am “on the day” for an appointment. We do have some pre-booked appointments available on Saturdays)
We would be grateful if you would request sufficient time when making your appointment. If you have multiple problems to discuss with the doctor please ask for a long appointment. Minor procedures usually require more time than the standard consult so please advise reception when booking. These include: removal of skin lesions , allergy testing, insertion or removal of implanon (not available at the moment) and mirena IUCD insertion (not available at the moment) and iron infusion.
If you feel that your problem is more urgent than our first available appointment please advise reception so that we may be able to accommodate your needs.

Staying Healthy is important to us. Therefore you will have no out of pocket expense when you undertake a 45-49yrs or an over 75 years health assessment.
Annual Checkups at other ages help you manage your health and are privately billed with time based medicare rebate. |

Checkups, immunisations, developmental concerns, all childhood illness, autism, constipation, rashes, learning difficulty.

| Sports Medicine | Diagnosis and management of muscle , joint and tendon conditions, shoulder injections, knee injections. |
| Skin Cancer checks |
Full skin cancer check, management and excision of skin cancers.
Liquid Nitrogen treatment available (Melanoma, BCC, SCC)

Including counselling, management of depression/anxiety, referral and liaison with psychologists. On site psychologist available.

New Fee Structure
General Practitioner fees (updated 29th May 2024):
Face to Face standard (up to 20mins) consultation: $119.00
Face to Face Appointment (20mins to 25mins): $150
Longer Face to Face Appointment (25mins-30mins): $180
Extended Face to Face consultation (30mins to 40mins): $240.00
NEW Phone consultation (10mins): $79.00
Phone consultation (10mins to 20mins): $119.00
Patients are required to pay their invoice on the day of their visit. EFTPOS facilities are available for payments. We only bulk bill in exceptional circumstances. This new fee pricing is effective from 1 August 2020.
Medicals
If you are seeing the doctor for an insurance or employment medical, please fax or email the medical requirement documents to us ahead of time with your contact details so we are able to confirm we have the capacity to undertake the requirements of the medical assessment, advise you on the length of appointment time you need and the associated fee.
Procedural Items
Please be sure to discuss with your doctor the cost involved with procedural items such as skin excisions and immunisations. Most minor surgery procedures will involve a co-payment for all patients. The cost of private immunisations are not covered by Medicare. There is no vaccine fee for Government scheduled vaccinations but there may be a doctor consult fee payable.

Cancellation
Cavenagh Medical reserves the right to charge patients for appointments when the patient does not arrive for their appointment and does not notify the practice at least 24 hours beforehand.
Medicare Online
Medicare online services mean that if you have lodged your bank account details with Medicare, you will receive your rebate usually within 48-72 hours. Please check with reception to ensure your account with us is set-up for this to occur.
